- Assist in the design of roadway infrastructure including alignments, grading, drainage, and traffic control
- Prepare engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
- Support senior engineers in meeting project goals and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards
- Assist with drainage modeling, traffic control planning, and design documentation
- Perform site visits to collect field data and support construction activities
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station) to prepare and revise design plans
- Help review contractor submittals and RFIs, and support construction administration tasks
- Coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and regulatory agencies during design and permitting
- Deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast in collaboration with state DOTs, municipalities, and private clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Passed the FE Exam and obtained EIT certification, or planning to by June 2027
- Strong interest in roadway and transportation design
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station
- Basic knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, or state DOT standards
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and take initiative in a team environment
- Preferred:
Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering - Preferred:
Experience or coursework related to corridor modeling in Civil 3D - Preferred:
Exposure to fieldwork, including inspections or data collection - Preferred:
Understanding of common project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, etc.) - Preferred:
Interest in obtaining a PE license and engaging in professional development
Demonstrates expertise in roadway infrastructure design, including alignments, grading, and drainage, while utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or Micro Station. Possesses strong communication and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with teams and regulatory agencies.
