3 days onsite - 2 days remote (first 90 days onsite)
$165-185k Total Comp including guaranteed bonus
The Controller will report directly to the VP Finance and will be responsible for the daily operations of the accounting department including the oversight of the accounting team (team of ~5) while creating an environment of trust and productivity. Works closely with:
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
- Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.
- Develop and maintain the monthly, quarterly and annual closing calendars.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- Implementation and Maintenance of General Ledger and other Financial Reporting Systems/Processes.
- Perform monthly consolidation of all subsidiaries and consolidation.
- Accounts payable, cash, and other account reconciliations; expense reporting and analysis.
- Assist with budget preparation and analysis.
- Management of tax issues (compliance, liaison with tax preparers, tax audits, etc.) and the preparation of annual partnership returns.
- Perform analytic reviews of financial results.
- Prepare loan compliance reports.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures manuals and guidelines for staff to adhere to.
- Ensure account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner.
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue, costs, team and organizational budgets and expenditures.
- Handle special projects and hands‑on ad‑hoc requests outside the day‑to‑day operations.
- Assist in establishing short- and long‑range departmental goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and manage the completion of annual financial audits in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
- 10+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Candidates coming straight out of Public Accounting as Sr. Managers are welcome with CPG or Manu client base.
- Experience in the CPG/Manu/Int'l Distribution industry strongly preferred.
