JOB SUMMARY The Commercial FP&A will play a critical role in driving profitability and decision-making across the company's RVM equipment sales, leasing and service businesses. This role is responsible for owning customer-level and enterprise-level profitability, supporting pricing and deal evaluation, and providing real-time visibility into key cost drivers impacting EBITA. This role will partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, and accounting teams to ensure alignment between pricing, operational execution, and financial performance.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business acumen to connect operational and commercial drivers to financial outcomes, enabling improved pricing discipline, forecasting accuracy, and sustainable margin expansion.
- Develop Regional P&Ls by retailer to highlight margin improvement opportunities across pricing and cost structure during upcoming contract negotiations
- Own cross-regional Key Customer P&Ls providing a holistic view of total customer value
- Analyze month-over-month and vs. plan performance, identifying key drivers of variances
- Deliver Top Customer volume reporting to sales team with year-over-year analysis by region
- Understand inventory purchases by product to translate product mix into CGM impact on Gross margin
- Lead comprehensive proforma analyses of RVM sales for all markets, identifying opportunities and risks to maximize business growth and profitability.
- Maintain target margin frameworks for equipment sales and lease deals via RVM Pricing Playbook
- Own service analytics (cost/unit, units/call, work orders by type, applied vs unapplied labor) to improve service profitability
- Track changes to Machine COGS & CGM by product on a quarterly basis
- Deliver the annual budgeting, strategic 5-year planning, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and driving proactive financial strategies across the organization.
- Be the liaison between HQ and Canada, New Markets & CLYNK to communicate a general understanding of business initiatives during the consolidation process.
- Optimize IFS ERP system to ensure data integrity to leverage real-time tracking of forecasted and budgeted equipment sales.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to design and implement automated reporting solutions that enhance operational efficiency and decision support.
- Expertly navigate data warehouse and Business Reporter platforms, focusing on advanced customer profitability analysis to empowering management with accurate information for critical decision-making.
- Manage ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects in response to evolving business needs, consistently delivering impactful results.
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS,EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, MBA strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in an Accounting/Finance department
- Extreme proficiency in Excel (data normalization, Power Pivot, etc.)
- Experience with monthly/quarterly/annual corporate financial cycle
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts, rules and principles
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS
- Ability to collaborate with other functions internally and externally
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to function well in high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Capacity to foster an environment of teamwork which promotes the company's Core Values and Leadership Principles
- Ability to roll up sleeves and get the job done
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
