Specimen Processor

Pride Health is hiring a Accessioner to support our client’s medical facility in Shelton, CT
. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

The team is currently short-staffed and is looking for a dependable contractor with strong data entry and computer skills. This role has strong potential to convert to full-time employment.

• Accession incoming specimens
• Route specimens to appropriate laboratories or satellite facilities
• Prepare specimens for processing (sorting, labeling, organizing paperwork)
• Data entry of patient and client information into laboratory database
• Verify requisition accuracy and completeness
• Identify and hold specimens with incomplete information until resolved
• Scan, copy, and file specimen documentation
• Prepare labels and forms for accessioning

• High School Diploma or GED

• Job Type: 03 Months (Contract to Hire)
• Pay Range
  : $17 - $18 hourly
• Shifts:
  
  Tuesday–Saturday, 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM
