Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton, CT is looking for a dynamic and driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our team and elevate the guest experience. • Support the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations across all departments
• Lead, coach, and develop front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams to deliver exceptional guest service
• Monitor and manage budgets, labor costs, and revenue performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures
• Handle guest escalations and resolve complaints with professionalism and urgency
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training hotel staff
• Oversee scheduling and manage day-to-day staffing needs to optimize hotel performance

• 2+ years of hotel management or assistant management experience, preferably with a branded property
• Prior Marriott or major hotel brand experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, and F&B
• Proficiency in property management systems (PMS); experience with Marriott systems a plus
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
