At Compucom Staffing, you're more than just a number. Our employee relationship managers support you throughout your engagement, providing career guidance and reemployment assistance. Our client is currently seeking a qualified Level 2 Desktop Technician to join their team onsite in Shelton, CT and provide end‑user support. This role requires strong Windows desktop support experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

The technician will act as the local "hands and feet" resource for IT implementations and ongoing support.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 2 deskside and remote support for Windows‑based systems
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network‑related issues via phone, email, and chat
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT vendors during system implementations
  • Assist with testing IT implementations, including network access, wireless connectivity, and telephony
  • Coordinate and manage relationships between IT vendors and local client support teams
Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of deskside PC support and customer service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Experience assisting with IT system implementations
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Windows operating systems
    • Basic Mac support
    • Desktop and laptop imaging
    • Active Directory user and device support
    • ITSM/ticketing systems
    • MS Office 365 suite/MS teams
Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $20.25 - $27.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
