ANCO is a family owned and operated metal fabrication company located in Shelton, CT. ANCO has an immediate opening for a Buyer in support of our Purchasing Department. The right individual to fill this role will be a highly energetic, seasoned Buyer with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a full-time position responsible for buying and scheduling materials for our entire manufacturing facility, including creating purchase orders in our ERP system for the procurement of raw materials, components, hardware, office supplies, etc.

• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and purchase the raw material/components/hardware/office supplies/etc. that support the facilities schedule.
• Place multiple RFQ’s for each item to ensure best pricing within required lead-times.
• Create, track, and manage purchase orders from creation to receipt in our ERP software (Global Shop Solutions) to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Maintain up-to-date product and vendor pricing information in our ERP system.
• Works with Sales, Production, and other departments regarding the status of Purchasing related items.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with vendors.

• At least 3 years of experience in a procurement role.
• Prior experience and working knowledge in an ERP software generating and or updating Purchase Orders and receiving goods into the system.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Ability to learn new ERP platform and associated department related skills in fast, efficient timeframe.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email.
