Our client is one of the nations leading electronics manufacturers. Their focus is creating buttons levers and switches that are used across various industries. They have a small team of 35 employees located on the Fairfield, New Haven county line. They offer competitive pay, great benefits, and an excellent work environment. They are seeking a Production Assembler to join their team.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following
  • Perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce assemblies and Specmods from standard component products.
  • Position or align components for assembly.
  • Verify parts and quantities for assembly.
  • Rework, repair, or replace incorrect or damaged parts or assemblies.
  • Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts and subassemblies together.
  • Engrave and fill lens caps as needed.
  • Maintain packaging supplies and notify appropriate personnel when supplies are low.
  • Support Shipping & Receiving personnel with stock & warehouse activities as needed.
  • Perform duties in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
  • Must maintain standards of professionalism and Code of Conduct at all times.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following capabilities:
Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
  • Prior assembly experience is a plus.
  • Able to understand "Specmod” instruction sheets, assembly drawings, work instructions, schematics and procedures.
  • Required to read, speak, write, and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Required to have adequate communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Required to have basic computer skills with understanding of Microsoft Office applications – Word and Excel preferred.
  • Required to have excellent organizational skills.
