Apple Rehab Hewitt is a 120-bed long-term care and rehabilitation center in downtown Shelton. LPN Charge Nurse

Starting Pay: Competitive rates up to $37 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential:
  Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available

Shifts:

• 11 pm – 7 am, 32 hours

Responsibilities

• The LPN Charge Nurse plans, executes, and oversees nursing services for assigned residents, adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.

Key Duties

• Plan and provide professional care aligned with residents’ needs and evolving medical practice.
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
• Document crucial resident care information accurately and comprehensively.
• Administer prescribed medications and oversee accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

Requirements

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse)
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred

Additional Expectations

• All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents. Compensation details available upon inquiry.
• Per diem staff are expected to fulfill two weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
