Position:
Summer Veterinary Student Assistant at VCA Inc.

As a valued member of our team, you will develop practical and professional skills by working closely with licensed doctors and technicians, gaining exposure to the inner workings of our hospitals and education in various areas.

Assist doctors and other hospital staff by caring for and cleaning patients and facilities, including completing patient treatments, assisting in surgery, and other animal care functions. Must be a current veterinary student.

Support our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low‑stress atmosphere for clients and patients.

Duties include:

• Patient intake and history
• Triage, treatments and case dynamics
• Filling prescriptions
• Assisting in procedures
• Hands‑on compassionate care duties
• Patient handling and restraint
• Assisting with laboratory and imaging diagnostics
• General hospital maintenance

You will enjoy exposure to a diverse caseload, use advanced imaging and monitoring tools, and tap into the expertise of more than 4,500 doctors, including 600+ boarded specialists.
