Quality Control Inspector – Microscope Inspection

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
$18.49 per hour
We are seeking Quality Control Inspectors / Microscope Inspectors for a manufacturing company in Milford, CT.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in quality inspection, visual inspection, microscope inspection or precision manufacturing who is comfortable inspecting small manufactured parts for defects and ensuring products meet required specifications.
The Quality Control Inspector will use a microscope/lighted magnifier and precision measuring tools to perform detailed inspections of manufactured components and finished products.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspect small manufactured parts using a microscope or lighted magnifier
- Perform detailed visual inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Inspect and measure parts using precision measuring equipment
- Use tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges and optical comparators
- Perform thorough examinations of materials and finished products
- Inspect, test, measure, rework and/or repack manufactured materials or products using precise work methods
- Remove products and materials that do not meet required specifications
- Document inspection results and critical information accurately for real-time reporting
- Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and product defects
- Follow established quality control procedures and assist with process improvements
- Participate in routine visual inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Experience with quality control, quality inspection or manufacturing inspection
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics
- Experience using micrometers and calipers
- Experience inspecting small or precision manufactured parts
- Familiarity with pin gauges and optical comparators
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspection using a microscope or lighted magnifier
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise inspection procedures
- Ability to accurately document inspection results
