General Manager
Responsible for the management of day‑to‑day operations of the store, adherence to company policies and procedures, direct supervision of staff, maximizing store profits, and ensuring a high level of customer service and store appearance.
Key Responsibilities- Maximize store profitability through managing all controllable expenses, optimizing revenue streams, and leading and developing a high performing team.
- Manage guest and associate satisfaction, exceeding brand standards and overseeing store profitability.
- Select, develop, and effectively lead a highly engaged team.
- Cultivate a positive shopping experience for all guests, respond to complaints, solicit feedback, review information, and create plans to meet guest expectations.
- Staff the store appropriately to cover 24/7 business demands and identify hiring needs across the store.
- Allocate resources, delegate work, and manage time through efficient scheduling and labor hour usage.
- Conduct all aspects of management training and ensure associates’ proficiency and safety.
- Create an inclusive store atmosphere, promote respect and collaboration, and encourage mutual understanding.
- Recognize and celebrate store associates.
- Support associate and store management development through talent‑management processes.
- Provide direction and support, assess performance, give feedback and coaching, conduct performance appraisals, and participate in hiring decisions.
- Ensure store conditions meet safety, service, and operational efficiency standards by analyzing opportunities and ensuring policy execution.
- Implement improvement actions, manage safety programs, and ensure compliance.
- Report and document guest and associate incidents within the required timeframe.
- Lead change initiatives, champion programs, and educate associates on the need for change.
- Meet or exceed key performance metric targets and deliver budgeted merchandise gross profit.
- Maintain awareness of financial performance trends to achieve store profitability.
- Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist in investigations of shortages/overages.
- Develop financial plans, review reports, and take actions to achieve goals.
- Analyze income statements and use reports to ensure profitability; manage inventory, logistics, and cash procedures.
- Conduct competition surveys and analyze audit results to address issues.
- Build relationships with community partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Available to work flexible hours including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Leadership experience in a fast‑paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred.
- Experience selecting, training, and managing staff.
- Experience with labor allocation, sales building, scheduling, and managing expenses.
- Experience coaching and developing team members through effective leadership skills.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, handle, reach, push buttons, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, stoop repetitively and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pay range: $45,000.00 – $81,972.00. Base salary is determined based on experience, skills, abilities, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time.
