Consumables Sales Specialist; Shelton, CT

Job Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales targets, including total booked order value and associated margin
• Generate sales pipeline by meeting outbound sales activity targets including daily phone calls, customer conversations, quote deliveries, and order conversions
• Contribute to team success against targets and collaborate with other sales reps
• Work closely with leadership to develop growth strategies for assigned territory
• Contact customers to follow up on leads generated through service engineers and other channels
• Respond to customer inquiries and act as their point of contact for Perkin Elmer
• Develop product knowledge to effectively grow portfolio within territory
• Follow company best practices and processes and learn effective selling techniques
• Maintain sales pipeline and activity accurately in CRM tools
• Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment

• Must be results-driven and possess the ability to utilize exceptional negotiation skills
• Ability to work within a Team Selling Model and engage field-based resources as necessary to advance opportunities
• Strong communication skills (telephone & email)
• Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships via the telephone and email
• Highly effective time management and organizational skills
• Process orientated, with a strong knowledge of selling, marketing & the customer care process

• 1+ years of inside sales experience
• High school diploma

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience
• General knowledge of CRM systems is preferred.  experience is a plus.
• Relevant experience in the analytical instruments & consumables industry
• Relevant experience in laboratory or field service operations

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $56,680.00 to $79,760.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
