The Quotations Specialist will work with customer service, product managers, field sales and leadership to ensure pricing guidelines are adhered to and are profitable. Major activities include working with order pricing approvals, field sales to identify market levels and obtain necessary approvals for project submissions, maintaining long term special pricing agreements. In addition, will need be able to work in a fast pace, results driven, and collaborative work environment.
An individual’s willingness to learn the intricacies of Hubbell and its quotation process will be essential to the department’s effort to maintain excellent customer relations with our field sales force and distribution customers.
- Supports quotation supervisor identify missing data, responsible for the communication and clarification of any necessary information for entry or distribution of quotes.
- Maintains accurate tracking of specialized quotations.
- Provides consistent, responsive, quality service to our internal and external customers.
- Actively participates in coordinating, analyzing, and acting upon information and feedback of customer needs, pricing, products, competition, and procedure.
- Provides support to Customer Financial Services staff to resolve customer billing problems resulting from errors in the quotations pricing and credit.
- Support of any quotations department projects as requested of the Quotations Supervisor or VP Pricing.
- Ensure all interactions are handled with the highest possible quality & handle day-to-day duties as needed.
- Provide reliable and prompt communications to and from the field sales force and distributors for resolution of quotations issues. Must be able to analyze and evaluate problems that arise and solve or get answers expeditiously and thoroughly.
- Responsible for deliverables with significant impact on company's profitability.
- 2-4years' experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Sense of urgency; meeting of deadlines
- Solid decision making and analytical skills with the understanding that decisions will affect the profitability of the company.
- Ability to maintain a high level of business ethics and confidentiality.
- SAP and Salesforce working knowledge is desired, not required.
