MRF Mechanic Maintenance

Interstate Waste Services seeks an MRF Mechanic Maintenance professional to keep our recycling and waste-handling equipment operating safely and reliably. In this on-site role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, balers, compactors, and related systems in a fast-paced facility. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues, and completing accurate service records. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair MRF, recycling, and waste-handling equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, balers, compactors, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues safely and efficiently.
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and parts usage records accurately.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with operations staff to prioritize repairs and equipment needs.
• Assist with installation, adjustment, and alignment of new or rebuilt components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work area.
