Class A Diesel Mechanic

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a skilled Class A Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our modern fleet of waste and recycling trucks. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, and related components. You'll troubleshoot road calls, complete service records, and ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems
• Respond to and troubleshoot road calls and breakdowns
• Ensure all repairs meet safety, DOT, and company standards
• Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues
• Collaborate with drivers and operations staff to schedule repairs
• Follow all shop safety procedures and environmental regulations
