Industrial Machine Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift Direct Hire Monday-Thursday 4-day regular workweek Friday overtime as needed
Starting Pay: $25
-40 hour based on experience
Seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting and repairing heavy manufacturing equipment? We are hiring for a growing manufacturing company with significant expansion planned over the next 6-10 months. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a great Monday-Thursday schedule Monday-Thursday: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Fridays are scheduled as needed based on workload and completion of maintenance tasks and are typically overtime.
Additional overtime may be voluntary or mandatory depending on production and maintenance needs.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment
- Perform primarily mechanical maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Maintain and repair presses and stamping equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repairs
- Repair and replace bearings, shafts, gears, pumps, motors, cylinders, and other mechanical components
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and facility projects
- Use hand, power, and precision measuring tools
- Work closely with Production to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
What We're Looking For The most important qualification is a strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how industrial machinery operates. Experience with heavy hydraulic/mechanical presses or stamping equipment is highly preferred. Additional experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Industrial presses and stamping equipment
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- Manual lathes and mills
- Surface grinders
- Welding and fabrication
- Torch cutting/burning
- Preventive maintenance
- Equipment installation and rebuilds
- PLC troubleshooting
- Electrical maintenance
This is primarily a mechanical position. Electrical or PLC experience is not required, but candidates with additional electro-mechanical skills are encouraged to apply.
