HVAC / Energy Conservation S-2 Boiler / Burner Technician Job Description

A leading full-service HVAC, Refrigeration, and Process Piping Contractor is seeking an experienced S-2 Boiler / Burner Technician to join their growing Service Team. The company specializes in the installation and service of demanding HVAC, heating, refrigeration, and process piping applications throughout Connecticut and the lower Hudson Valley, NY.

This position reports to the Service General Manager and will play a key role in supporting commercial building heating systems, preventative maintenance, service operations, and new construction projects.

• Support the Service Team with a variety of commercial building heating systems
• Coach and mentor technical team members on building heating systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on existing customer heating systems
• Quote new work to support customer facility operations
• Stay current with new technologies, equipment, and industry practices
• Work closely with the Pipe fitting Team to support customer needs
• Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management teams
• Support construction project start-ups and system commissioning
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
• Continue professional development through ongoing education and training

• Connecticut S-2 license required
• Strong knowledge of commercial boilers, burners, and building heating systems
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
