About the Role
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role balances people leadership, delivery accountability, and technical oversight, partnering closely with product, platform, and cross‑functional teams. The Engineering Manager creates an environment that enables engineers to do their best work while meeting business, quality, and reliability goals.
Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering growth, engagement, and high performance.
- Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards aligned to organizational priorities; conduct regular feedback, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Support hiring efforts, onboarding, and team capacity planning.
- Own delivery outcomes for the team, ensuring commitments are met with high quality and reliability; partner with product management to plan, prioritize, and deliver roadmap initiatives.
- Balance delivery speed with sustainable engineering practices and technical quality; remove blockers and manage dependencies across teams.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight, ensuring engineering best practices are followed including code quality, testing, security, and documentation.
- Partner with Product, Design, QA, Dev Ops, and Architecture teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions; communicate delivery status, risks, and trade‑offs clearly to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, and team productivity; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and learning.
- 6–10 years of experience in software engineering roles; 2–4 years managing or leading engineering teams.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop engineers.
- Solid technical background with experience in modern software development environments.
- Ability to balance technical quality, delivery timelines, and team health.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering production software in enterprise or customer‑facing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this role is $138, annually
Pay within this range will be determined in good faith based on job‑related factors, which may include skills, experience, education/training, location, and internal equity.
