The Accounting Manager, reporting to the Controller, will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations to ensure a timely month‑end close and maintain team performance to meet company standards. In the immediate future, the Accounting Manager will spearhead the implementation of our cost accounting system.

Experience: Manager |
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end close, inclusive of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Manager general ledger inclusive of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
  • Adhere to US GAAP
  • Financial reporting, variance analysis, issue resolution
  • Communicate financial findings to department heads to support business decisions
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax representatives
  • Support process improvement
  • Ensure internal controls
  • Support leadership with budgeting and forecasting
  • Spearhead cost accounting system implementation along with leadership
  • Build out costing processes and framework
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years accounting experience
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Manufacturing / Agriculture industry experience
  • Cost accounting
  • Ability to be on site 3+ days per week (Jan‑Sep), 4‑5 days per week (Sep‑Dec)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Systems implementation experience
  • Public accounting
  • CPA
