[Hybrid Opportunity] Family owned company is hiring for an Accounting Manager with manufacturing & cost accounting experience. Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year.
Job DetailsPosition Overview:
The Accounting Manager, reporting to the Controller, will lead day-to-day accounting operations to ensure month-end close and team performance meet company standards. In the immediate future, the Accounting Manager will help spearhead the implementation of our cost accounting system.
- Lead month-end close, inclusive of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Manage general ledger inclusive of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- Adhere to US GAAP
- Financial reporting, variance analysis, and issue resolution
- Communicate financial findings to department heads to support business decisions
- Liaise with external auditors and tax representatives
- Support process improvement
- Ensure internal controls
- Support leadership with budgeting and forecasting
- Spearhead cost accounting system implementation along with leadership
- Build out costing processes and framework
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years accounting experience
- 2+ years leadership experience
- Manufacturing / Agriculture industry experience
- Cost accounting experience
- Able to be onsite 3+ days per week Jan‑Sep, and 4‑5 days per week Sep‑Dec
- Systems implementation experience
- Public accounting experience
- CPA
- Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office Jan‑Sep, 4‑5 days in office Sep‑Dec for busy season
