SalaryStipend Position:
Fall Season: $4,350 - $5,220, Winter Season: $4,350 - $5,220; (Range is based on current SAAA Bargained Agreement).
Non-Exempt for classified employees and exempt for current, certificated employees.
ScheduleFall 2026 season August 24th, 2026 through November 13th, 2026. Winter 2026 season November 16th, 2026 through March 6th, 2027. Hours per day to be mutually agreed upon between the Athletic Director and the selected Head Coach.
Benefits- Benefits are in alignment with School Board Policies and Procedures as well as the Shelton Athletic/Activities Association Bargained Agreement.
The Head Cheer Coach carries out the philosophy of the Athletic Program and assist with the daily operation of the program from planning and executing well-developedpracticesto managing equipment and personnel.
Requirements- High school diplomaor equivalent.
- Previous, successful experienceinsportasparticipantand/or coachpreferred.
- Ability and willingness to maintainscertificationinCPRand First Aid .
- SuchotherqualificationsassetbytheWIAA.
- The ability to pass a federal background check.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and tact with all aspects of employment.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
- Ability and willingness to be dynamic, energetic, motivated, and committed to developing a successful program.
- Possession of strong leadership skills.
- Ability and willingness to relatewelltostudent-athletesanddemonstrate careforthembeyondthe sportexperience.
- Possession of a deep understanding of track.
- Strong communication,publicrelation,andinterpersonalskills.
- Abilityto writereportsand correspondenceconsistentwith the dutiesofthis position.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback.
