The Fiscal Analyst 1 manages incarcerated individual trust funds and financial transactions for the Washington State Department of Corrections at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton. The role involves processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. This full-time permanent position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
Keyqualifications:
- High school diploma or GED plus 12 semester or 18 quarter hours of accounting credits from an accredited college
- One year of professional accounting experience at Fiscal Technician 2 level or above
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Computer literacy and ability to effectively use agency standard software
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to review and process financial transactions accurately
