Overview
Telecare is seeking a Unit Clerk to provide support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are clerical and technical in nature and involve contact with members served. Shifts available:
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Starting wage range is $18.31–$22.06, with a full range up to $25.80; pay may vary by geographic location and experience.

Responsibilities- Provide support to nursing, clinical, and medical staff with clerical and technical duties
- Maintain and manage medical records and documentation, including admissions, discharges, and transfers in medical records/EHR
- Schedule appointments and maintain appropriate supplies
- Answer the telephone, take messages, and screen calls as assigned
- Provide information to families and staff with clear, professional communication
- Participate as a team member, reporting observations and concerns
- Assist with routine maintenance of Electronic Medical Records and basic clinical data entry
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) months of experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification on or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification
- Successful completion of post-offer physical, 2-step TB test, background clearance, and any required driving and regulatory checks
Preferred:
- Experience working with the general public in a health care environment
- Unit clerk certification program completion
- Paid Time Off: 16.7 days in the first year for full-time employees
