The House Manager oversees day‑to‑day residential services, trains staff, ensures client needs are met, maintains quality homes, and ensures regulatory compliance. The role includes managing staffing, training direct support staff, coordinating with agencies, and maintaining documentation.
Responsibilities- Report suspected abuse immediately to supervisor within 24 hours and complete mandated reporting.
- Provide direct care and work on the floor as scheduled.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and complete all required HIPAA and consent paperwork.
- Ensure overall health, safety, and quality of life of clients.
- Sustain personal care items, clothing, recreational and entertainment equipment for clients.
- Supervise, train, and mentor direct support staff.
- Accept direction from administrators and program leaders.
- Attend meetings, inspections, and unannounced agency visits.
- Ensure staff training completed – Nurse Delegation, Core Training, CPR/FA, etc.
- Monitor and supervise lead and direct staff to provide necessary support, protect rights, manage funds, and secure transportation.
- Ensure compliance with SAILS Washington policies, state regulations, and company standards in documentation.
- Oversee program effectiveness, update behavioral and skill goals with behaviorists.
- Maintain CP program security alarms and equipment.
- Coordinate staff new‑hire training and additional training with Program Management.
- Act as a crisis on‑call responder when designated.
- Conduct weekly compliance checks and medication audits, report findings.
- Attend client PCSP meetings, coordinate Individualized Instruction Support Plans (IISP).
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, vendors, staff, case managers, and service providers.
- Respond to client emergencies and illnesses promptly.
- Maintain adequate supplies, materials, and records.
- Ensure proper staff ratios and quality resident care.
- Submit weekly, bi‑weekly, and monthly reports and binders (Administrator Report, Dayforce Checking, Med Checks, Financial Binder, Behavior Support Binder, Client Notebook, Daily/Medical Client Binder).
- Restock depleted agency forms and supplies.
- Conduct In‑Service trainings for staff and train staff in all necessary areas.
- Oversee home, recreational, educational, and vocational programs and coordinate staff scheduling.
- Create agendas for monthly staff meetings.
- Review IISP and PBSP plans every six months with relevant management.
- Washington State background check.
- Active NAR and successful completion of 75 CORE Basic Training, Nurse Delegation, CPR/First Aid, and other required training.
- Valid CPI Blue Card.
- Ability to read, interpret, and draft documents in English.
- Strong interpersonal communication, respectful and responsive.
- Follow‑through in completing tasks within deadlines; respond within 24‑48 hours.
- Time‑management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to person‑centered solutions and stakeholder collaboration.
- Knowledge of DDA policies, client rights, mandated reporting, and incident reporting.
