Preschool Instructional Assistant District Wide

Position: Preschool Instructional Assistant (2026/2027) - District Wide
Join us for the  school year. These positions require someone to work with the district preschool department in order to coach, model, and implement best practice strategies for preschool teachers to use with students with challenging behaviors. This person will be trained by and work with our three preschool consultants. This position requires someone that can collaborate with teachers and assistants at all 12 sites.

This position requires travel and flexibility. Position Details

Hours:

6.5 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch) Contract Length: 146 days per year
* 170 student instructional days
* 4 holidays
* 22 extended days Contract Adjustments:

10-month employee on the classified salary schedule. Qualifications & Requirements

* Education:

Must meet one of the following:
* 48 college semester hours
* An Associate's Degree OR
* High school diploma plus a passing score on the Para educator Assessment Exam.
* Documentation:
Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire. Compensation & Experience Credit  pay scale Step 0: $16.46 per hour Step 10: $20.26 per hour We value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
* Experience Credit:
New employees may transfer up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. *

While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June. Salary Formula:
