Pleasant Grove Elementary - Classroom Teacher 2026-2027

Pleasant Grove Elementary is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and student-centered educator to join our team for the  school year. We are looking for an educator who creates engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences that inspire students to lead, learn, care, and make a difference. The ideal candidate is committed to building meaningful relationships, collaborating with colleagues and families, and empowering every student to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that actively engages all learners.

* Integrate authentic, real-world learning experiences that promote critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and meaningful application of learning.

* Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom culture where students feel safe, respected, and valued.

* Establish and maintain effective classroom management that fosters student responsibility, leadership, and independence.

* Use assessment data to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all learners.

* Leverage technology and innovative instructional practices to enhance teaching and learning.

* Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze data, refine instruction, and improve student outcomes.

* Build strong partnerships with families through consistent, positive, and effective communication.

* Actively contribute to school-wide initiatives, professional learning, and continuous improvement efforts.

Candidate must have Kentucky Elementary Certification or provide the Letter of Eligibility from their university and possess all other requirements according to BCPS.

This position is for the  school year. Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the  school year.
