Schedule/Hours:

Contract position, full-time hours

Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted RN license
Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
BLS certification (required)
Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking abilities
Confidence in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention
Experience adapting to fast-paced, dynamic environments

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor the mental and physical health status of each patient
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in line with treatment plans
Administer medications, monitor side effects, and document responses accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
Lead or participate in group activities and patient education sessions
Respond swiftly and effectively to psychiatric emergencies, utilizing de-escalation skills
Support patients and families through empathetic communication and education
