Education and Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a quality-related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a quality engineer role. Must be able to operate test equipment such as CMM, optical comparator, etc., and be proficient with various computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Functions
  • Monitor and report supplier performance
  • Approve supplier PPAP
  • Approve customer PPAP
  • Coordinate APQP for new programs and product changes
  • Act as IATF
    16949:2016 element champion or management representative as required
  • Lead or participate in QOS team as required
  • Develop corrective and preventive action for customer, supplier, and production
  • May be selected as IATF
    16949:2016 management representative
  • Ensure processes needed for quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained
  • Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement
  • Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
  • Act as IATF
    16949:2016 lead auditor or internal auditor as required
  • Develop control plan and PFMEA including receiving control plan
  • Comply with quality, environmental, and material management system requirements
  • Act as ISO
    14001:2015 lead auditor and/or working group member as required
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward safety, work safely, follow company policies, and report unsafe or unhealthy conditions
  • Report accidents and injuries in a timely manner
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
