Pleasant Grove Elementary School is seeking a reliable
, hardworking
, energetic
Night Sweeper to maintain the cleanliness of our school community. This person will perform routine custodial activities at Pleasant Grove Elementary School site or facility to maintain buildings, and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, is trustworthy, works well with others, and maintains an excellent attendance.

Position Details

Hours: 6 hours per day

Contract Length:
182 days per year

• 170 student instructional days
• 4 holidays
• 7 plannning days
• 1 extended day

Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Employment Status :
Full-time with benefits

Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:
• High school diploma or GED
• Documentation:
  Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Compensation & Experience Credit

Pay Scale

• Starting Pay (Step
  0): $14.84/hour
• Experienced Pay (Step 10): $16.89/hour

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

• The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.

Payroll

Note:

While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.

Salary Formula:
Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay
