The Driver, CDL‑A delivers and/or unloads food and food‑related products safely and timely in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicates with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally. Acts as a team member and performs duties assigned to support the company.
Responsibilities- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip safety checks and inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines and policies.
- Report all hazards and safety issues immediately.
- Verify loading, complete accurate paperwork, and count checks for shipped items.
- Drive, unload, and deliver customer orders per route schedule.
- Conduct damage‑control checks, collect signatures, and handle cash or checks.
- Load returns, secure trailers, and maintain trailer and equipment security.
- Carry out proper paperwork and record hours of service as required.
- Perform housekeeping duties and secure all equipment at shift end.
- Execute additional related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months of tractor/trailer driving experience.
- Valid CDL‑A; applicant must be 21+ years of age.
- Meet state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
- Current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
- Capable of hand‑lifting and operating lift gate, two‑wheeler, or other equipment for loads ranging 10–90 pounds.
