Job Summary
The Warehouse Specialist processes records, enters and validates data. They prepare and audit reports for the receiving, order processing, shipping, and inventory control areas of the warehouse. They manage client order integrity through system audits, research, executing escalations, and acting as a liaison between colleagues, project teams and Supply Chain. This role supports warehousing efforts for Fortna as it relates to projects.
Responsibilities- Maintaining project specific material documentation (such as PM PO Log’s, Power Apps, BIM
360, Master Shipping Documents, etc) as they pertain to warehouse fulfillment. - Enter, verify, maintain, and correct data on the applicable computer platforms.
- Uses Microsoft Office programs, ERP system programs, order management systems, and various web applications.
- Participating in the ongoing efforts of using INFOR LN ERP applications for Shipping/Receiving.
- Manages customer (internal) orders through multiple systems, email, and phone correspondence.
- Verifies, maintains, and audits issue tracker entries concerning shipment quality, damage, and third‑party labor delivery issues (BIM 360).
- Assists in creating work assignments (pull tickets, hot tickets) for warehouse personnel.
- Identify training requirements for colleagues and provide suitable training and guidance.
- Ability to solve problems and make effective decision in a fast‑pace environment.
- Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
- Assisting in creating, updating, and implementing work processes and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all departments.
- Provides continuous improvement while utilizing our 5S procedures and following process.
- Ensures that all work is carried out to the required quality in the best possible manner and within the guidelines of MHSE.
- May be required to cross train with other positions to provide backup.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two years of Supply Chain and/or Warehouse experience.
- Clerical / Data Entry experience.
- Shipping and Receiving experience.
- ERP Experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail, self‑starter.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision‑making and people management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional Suite (heavy on Excel).
- ERP knowledge (Infor LN is a bonus).
- Skills and ability to use SharePoint.
- Must pass pre‑employment and random drug screen.
- HS Diploma or GED.
The base hourly rate for this role is $22.00.
