Forklift Operator – Shipping and Receiving
Pay: $21 an hour
Shift: 2nd & 3rd shift
Job DescriptionThis role focuses on safely and efficiently handling materials in a fast-paced shipping and receiving department. You will primarily operate a sit-down propane forklift to load and unload semi-trailers, move inventory, and support accurate labeling and documentation across multiple shifts.
Responsibilities- Operate a sit-down propane forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift.
- Load and unload semi-trailers with a focus on accuracy, safety, and care for materials.
- Handle materials throughout the shipping and receiving department, including staging, organizing, and transporting products.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by moving incoming and outgoing freight to designated areas.
- Assist with labeling materials and products to ensure proper identification and traceability.
- Help maintain accurate inventory by moving and placing items in the correct locations as directed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and working in the facility.
- Inspect forklift and related equipment before use and report any issues or concerns.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet shipping, receiving, and production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the shipping and receiving department.
- 2–4+ years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Proven ability to safely operate a propane sit-down forklift for extended periods.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trailers.
- Material handling experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to perform labeling and basic inventory-related tasks.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and equipment inspection.
- Capability to work effectively on second or third shift as scheduled.
Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory handling and warehouse organization.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a shipping and receiving department within a warehouse or industrial facility. You will spend approximately 90% of your shift operating a sit-down propane forklift, frequently loading and unloading semi-trailers and moving materials throughout the facility. The role is available on second shift (2:30 p.m.–10:40 p.m., Monday–Friday) and third shift (10:30 p.m.–6:40 a.m., Sunday–Thursday). The environment is active and fast-paced, with regular interaction with trailers, pallets, and inventory.
You will work indoors in a typical warehouse setting and are expected to wear appropriate work attire suitable for operating industrial equipment and handling materials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $44721.00/yr. Insurance, 401K, PTO, etc.
