Distribution Center Associate

2nd Shift Schedule
- Monday-Friday 1:30-10pm.
Position pay $20/hr. + $2/hr. shift differential for all hours worked.
The Day to Day...
- Demonstrate proficiency in accurately selecting products to fulfill customer orders with precision and speed.
- Ensure products are securely prepared for shipping, maintaining their quality and integrity during transit.
- Show exceptional attention to detail by thoroughly verifying each order against customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Handle essential shipping documents with care, ensuring they are accurately maintained and organized.
- Efficiently monitor and manage our inventory of packaging supplies, ensuring they are readily available and stored properly.
- Adapt to various tasks as needed, contributing to different aspects of operations to support evolving customer needs and business objectives.
- Possess certification in operating diverse types of forklifts (including sit-down, stand-up, and reach models), contributing to efficient warehouse operations.
- Apply the principles of 6S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) to enhance and maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workspace.
The Qualifications...
- Possess the ability to skillfully use basic hand tools for various tasks and adjustments.
- Bring basic computer literacy, coupled with essential math and reading abilities, to effectively manage tasks and processes.
- Always prioritize and perform job functions with a strong focus on safety, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Capable of comprehending and consistently following established work practices to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Must be able to fluently read invoices and comprehend commands in English, particularly in relation to our picking system, to ensure smooth and effective operations.
The Work Environment...
- Required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.
- Required to work in a hot and humid or cold environment.
- Required to stand/walk at least 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally, 35 lbs. frequently, push, pull, twist, reach, bend, squat.
