Become a pivotal force in improving workplace safety as a Health and Safety Officer at the Board Office. This 35-hour weekly role emphasizes risk management and the development of effective safety programs.
As a regular employee within the Human Resources team, you'll play a crucial role in enforcing health regulations and collaborating with various representatives to enhance safety practices. Your responsibilities include conducting inspections and training staff on safe methodologies, while also managing documentation related to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish prevention plans based on organizational needs
• Engage with management to propose safety solutions
• Oversee compliance with health and safety laws
• Conduct regular inspections and audits
• Analyze workplace incidents for corrective action
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Bilingual: competent in both English and French
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety laws
• Ability to analyze data effectively
• Previous experience in risk management preferred
