The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and three years of journalism experience. This on-call position requires a strong command of both French and English. You will cultivate a network of local contacts, research stories, conduct interviews, and deliver news updates across digital and broadcast platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and produce news reports for multiple platforms
• Research, gather, and vet material for assigned stories
• Conduct interviews and field-produce television shoots
• Script and narrate news reports for broadcasting
• Alert the newsroom of breaking news and special coverage
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in journalism
• Three years of journalism experience or equivalent
• Solid command of French and proficiency in English
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s journalistic standards
