IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITYInterim Vice President – Finance Integration project

We are supporting a high-profile hospital following a recent merger in the appointment of a senior interim finance leader to partner directly with the CFO on a series of high-impact transformation initiatives.

This is not a traditional finance leadership role. It is a project-driven mandate focused on integrating, redesigning, and elevating the finance function to support the newly combined organization.

The Role:

Working closely with the EVP and CFO, you will lead and deliver against a number of complex and interdependent priorities, including:
* Leading the integration of two charts of accounts into a single, aligned structure that supports enterprise-wide reporting and decision-making.
* Directing the complete transformation of the Finance Function including organizational design, staffing, workflows and processes.
* Overseeing the consolidation of accounting platforms into a unified, scalable, and high-performing finance system.
* Driving process standardization and optimization across core finance functions (GL, AP, AR, payroll) to improve efficiency, controls, and reporting quality.
* Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate duplication, and reduce manual effort.
* Supporting the design and implementation of the future-state finance operating model and organizational structure.
* Conducting a current-state assessment of finance capabilities, roles, and accountabilities, with clear recommendations for improvement.
* Leading the integration of two payroll systems into a single, harmonized platform, including alignment of processes, controls, and governance.
* Strengthening financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks across the newly merged organization.
* Enhancing management reporting, financial visibility, and decision support to the executive team.
* Supporting system implementation, data integrity, and change management efforts as part of the broader  addition, you will act as a key advisor to the CFO on a major capital redevelopment initiative, including:
* Developing the financial strategy and funding approach for a new hospital site.
* Building robust costing models, financial projections, and scenario analyses.
* Supporting business case development and investment decision-making.
* Ensuring alignment between capital planning, operating impacts, and long-term financial sustainability.

This is a highly visible role requiring both technical depth and the ability to operate as a trusted partner at the executive level.

The Profile:

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader who brings:
* Proven experience leading finance transformation, integration, or post-merger environments
* Direct experience with all aspects of the financial reporting cycle from identification of transactions to the preparation of Audited Financial Statements and closing entries.
* Ideally deep experience in healthcare or complex ministry funded organizations.
* Deep expertise across general accounting, financial systems, and payroll operations.
* Strong capability in process redesign, operating model development, and systems optimization.
* Experience partnering with CFOs and executive teams on strategic initiatives.
* Track record supporting large capital planning, redevelopment, or infrastructure projects.
