I am seeking a Financial Controller for my client, a company in the construction sector. This is a permanent position in Sherbrooke.

• Manage the full accounting cycle and prepare financial statements
• Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Analyze financial performance and variances
• Lead the accounting team and ensure deadlines are met
• Optimize processes and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure tax compliance and file required returns
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing
• Collaborate with operations to ensure effective expense tracking

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Experience in accounting/financial control (construction industry experience is a plus)
• CPA designation (a plus)
• Strong understanding of the accounting cycle and financial statements
• Solid knowledge of accounting and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software

PROCESS:
Initial interview with Caroline Vansteene, recruitment consultant, followed by an interview with the Director of Human Resources.
