Job Summary

As an In Vivo Technician for our Toxicology team in Sherbrooke (QC), you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of the animals and the integrity of our pre‑clinical studies.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform technical tasks (administration of test drugs, blood sampling, etc.)
  • Observe animals and collect data from our studies (body weight, food consumption, etc.)
  • Maintain the living conditions of the animals according to the highest standards of well‑being in the industry (handling animals and cleaning of rooms).
Minimum Qualifications
  • College Diploma in Animal Health, Environmental and Wildlife Management, Biotechnology or a bachelor’s degree in Biology or any related Animal Science discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute.
  • Understanding of written English.
  • Good observation skills.
  • Ability to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

  • Transportation:
    Easily accessible using Sherbrooke’s public transit system. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.
  • Salary: 23.50 $/h
  • Annual bonus based on performance.
  • Schedule:

    Full time, permanent position (37.5 hrs/week). Depending on the needs, you may have to do overtime. Weekend work (rotation) and bonus (2.75 $/h).
