Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Summary

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Industrial Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance work on the plant’s equipment and infrastructure.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and building systems, including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Assist in identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to optimize material resources and infrastructure.
• Develop and improve maintenance management using maintenance management software.
• Provide technical support to various departments.
• Participate in and contribute to the development of a safe work environment.
• Ensure that equipment requiring calibration is kept up to date.
• Occasionally provide technical support to the powder production facility.

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in industrial maintenance or electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems.
• Good judgment and ability to take initiative.
• Strong commitment to working safely.
• Versatile, thorough, analytical, detail-oriented and creative.
• Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is considered an asset.
