We are seeking a dedicated, full‑time School Psychologist to join our team and support students through consultation, assessment, and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who values building meaningful relationships with students and families, enjoys working collaboratively with educators, and is comfortable providing services in a virtual learning environment.
About the Role
The School Psychologist provides assessment, consultation, and support services for students with disabilities in a virtual and hybrid environment. This role works closely with families, staff, and evaluation teams to identify student needs, support the special education process, and promote student growth and success.
The School Psychologist works primarily from home while utilizing virtual tools to complete assessments, participate in meetings, and collaborate with students, families, and staff. Occasional travel may be required for in‑person assessments, meetings, or professional development.
What You’ll Do- Conduct student evaluations and assessments using virtual and in‑person tools as appropriate
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student learning, behavior, and development
- Participate as a member of evaluation teams and support special education processes
- Provide guidance related to child development and its impact on learning
- Support pre‑referral interventions and response‑to‑intervention processes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with special education regulations
- Communicate regularly with students, families, staff, and team members
- Use technology effectively to provide services and collaborate in a virtual environment
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development
- A student‑centered professional committed to supporting the whole child
- Strong understanding of child development, learning, behavior, and assessment practices
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfort working independently in a virtual environment
- Confidence using technology and willingness to learn new digital tools
- Flexibility, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail
- Valid Oregon School Psychologist License/Endorsement
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university
- Educational training or experience supporting elementary and/or secondary students
- Reliable transportation for required in‑person assessments, meetings, or visits
- Virtual assessments, meetings, documentation, and collaboration
- Regular communication with students, families, and staff
- Occasional in‑person assessments, meetings, and professional development as needed
- Be part of an innovative, student‑centered learning model
- Support students through individualized services and meaningful relationships
- Collaborate with a supportive and mission‑driven team
- Make a direct impact on student growth and success
Salary:
Placement is based on education level and verified years of relevant experience according to the Sheridan All Prep Academy Certificated Salary Schedule. Refer to the School Psychologist Salary Schedule for details.
