Summary

The Business Operations Intern supports Weatherby's Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams through research, coordination, and project support. This internship provides a broad, hands‑on learning experience in an office environment, helping interns understand how customer needs, brand strategy, and product innovation connect. Interns will gain insight into cross‑functional collaboration, business planning, and decision‑making in a premium manufacturing organization.

What You'll Do
  • Learn the ins and outs of the sales process, from order entry through fulfillment and customer delivery.
  • Assist Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams with day‑to‑day projects and initiatives.
  • Gain exposure to the full scope of the Marketing team, including social media, email campaigns, and traditional media efforts.
  • Conduct research on customers, competitors, products, or market trends.
  • Support preparation of presentations, reports, and internal communications.
  • Help organize and track project tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Learn how parts are set up for production, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
  • Gain exposure to the new product development cycle, from concept through launch.
  • Participate in meetings and take notes or summarize key takeaways.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in a high school, college, or technical program (business, marketing, communications, engineering, or related field preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with marketing or design tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily a sedentary role with occasional standing or walking.

  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment

Office/clerical setting with standard equipment. Occasional interaction with manufacturing or product areas for learning and collaboration.
