Position OverviewThe Superintendent will be responsible for the overall field execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves serving as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with Project Management
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure quality control standards are met
- Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policies
- Manage project logistics, sequencing, and site coordination
- Review plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate field activities
- Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
- Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams
- 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience
- Experience managing ground-up commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, safety, quality control, and subcontractor management
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and mobile technology
- OSHA certification preferred
