Guided Study Hall Technician
Sheridan County School District 2 is seeking a positive, professional and dependable technician to join the Sheridan Junior High school team for the 2026/2027 school year. STARTING WAGE: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience BENEFITS/TIME OFF:
This position will work 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday during the school year and is eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, supplemental insurance including Aflac, medical and dependent care flex share plans and life insurance. This position will receive 10 sick leave days and 3 personal leave days annually and days off will match the school calendar including during Christmas, Spring and Summer breaks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent Effective communication skills Ability to work effectively with students and staff Working knowledge and competence in English, Math, Science, and History Typing and computer skills
REPORTS TO:
Building principal JOB GOAL:
To supervise and mentor study hall students in the completion of schoolwork, development of responsibility, organizational skills, social and emotional regulation strategies.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with groups of students to reinforce content area learning, ensure completion of classwork, develop responsibility, teach organizational skills, as well as social and emotional regulation strategies. Maintains accurate records for attendance, student behavior, work completion, and academic performance. Manages student behavior in a classroom setting, enforces building procedures and expectations, and follows student discipline protocols. Builds strong relationships with and fosters sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
Communicates clearly and frequently with teachers, principals, and counselors regarding student progress and work completion. Administers assessments according to teacher protocols. Assists students with the use of instructional technology to complete school work. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information concerning school and student matters. Assists with the supervision of students as assigned, including before school, after school, and/or lunch.
Completes other duties as assigned by the building principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
