Role Description This role offers an independent contractor status with earnings based on commission, allowing for unlimited earning potential, estimated at $150,000 to $500,000 annually. The company generates leads and provides advanced technology to facilitate transactions. The CRE Loan Originator is responsible for sourcing and developing new commercial real estate lending opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with investors, developers, brokers, and property owners, and managing the loan origination process from initial inquiry through closing.
Day-to-day activities include evaluating borrower needs, gathering and reviewing financial and property information, collaborating with underwriting to structure appropriate loan terms, and preparing proposals and term sheets. The role also involves coordinating due diligence, communicating loan status to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and supporting ongoing portfolio management and client retention efforts.
Qualifications
- Strong underwriting skills, including the ability to analyze commercial real estate financials, property performance, and risk profiles.
- Experience in loan origination and loans, with a track record of managing commercial real estate transactions from prospecting to closing.
- Solid foundation in mortgages and finance, including knowledge of capital markets, debt structures, and CRE valuation concepts.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with investors, developers, and brokers.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with financial modeling tools, CRM systems, and standard office software; comfort working with technology-enabled underwriting platforms.
- Previous experience in commercial real estate lending, capital markets, or private debt funds is highly beneficial.
