Senior Vice President Commercial Lending

A well-established community bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to serve as the primary lender for its high-performing Sheridan, Wyoming market. This is a key role within a lean, highly successful branch where the incoming lender will take ownership of a significant commercial loan portfolio while developing new relationships throughout the Sheridan community.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of commercial lending experience, strong credit and underwriting capabilities, and the relationship-building skills needed to serve established commercial clients and develop new business.

• Serve as the primary commercial lender for the Sheridan market, managing and growing a diverse commercial loan portfolio.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business owners, commercial clients, and community partners.
• Evaluate, structure, and underwrite commercial credit opportunities while maintaining sound credit quality.
• Manage significant commercial credits and ensure appropriate monitoring and portfolio management.
• Identify and pursue new lending and relationship opportunities within the Sheridan market.
• Utilize knowledge of SBA lending, including SBA 504 financing, to support business development and client needs.
• Collaborate with credit, operations, and bank leadership to structure transactions that meet both client and bank objectives.
• Participate in community and business development activities to strengthen the bank’s presence throughout Sheridan.
• Provide a high level of service while operating within the bank’s established credit culture and risk parameters.

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience with demonstrated experience managing commercial relationships and credits.
• Strong commercial credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring skills.
• Experience with C&I, CRE, SBA or other commercial lending products.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, and loan documentation.
• Excellent relationship management and business development capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a commercial portfolio.
• SBA lending experience, particularly SBA 504, is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
