Job Title: Dietary Aide

Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible dietary aide to assist with meal preparation, serving food to residents according to their dietary needs and restrictions, while maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and ensuring food safety standards are met, while following specific dietary guidelines and regulations set by the facility and dietary manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing meals by chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and following recipes as directed.
  • Review residents dietary plans to understand special needs like allergies, diabetes, or pureed diets.
  • Set up meal trays with appropriate food items and portion sizes based on individual dietary restrictions.
  • Deliver meals to residents in a timely manner.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and dining areas.
  • Assist with stocking food supplies and maintaining accurate inventory levels
  • Report any dietary concerns or changes in resident appetite to the dietary manager or nursing staff.
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately measure food portions.
  • Good communications skills to interact with residents and healthcare team.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry food trays and kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding or sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to seniors.
