SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThe Material Handler II performs daily warehouse and material movement functions to support Weatherby manufacturing. Responsibilities include picking, packing, transferring, and delivering work tickets, maintaining accurate inventory, operating forklifts and warehouse systems, and assisting shipping and receiving. This role ensures materials are stocked, organized, and delivered to the right departments at the right time.

- Pick, pack, transfer, and deliver work tickets to manufacturing departments.
- Perform computer functions to transfer material between warehouse and production areas.
- Keep manufacturing departments stocked with parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate raw goods and finished goods inventory.
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and Kardex inventory machine.
- Perform daily cycle counts and prepare for audits.
- Wrap and strap pallets, load and unload trucks, and build boxes as needed.
- Assist shipping, receiving, and other warehouse functions as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED; or six months to one-year warehouse related experience and/or training in shipping/receiving; or equivalent combination of education and experience. English written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating instructions, and work orders. Organizational skills and time management. Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments. Initiative, thoroughness, and technical capacity.
- Meet objective goals assigned during performance coaching. Pull, pack, and transfer work tickets with a high level of accuracy.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to acknowledge:
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Prolonged standing required; frequent talking and hearing. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Frequently lift/move 25 lbs; occasionally lift/move 65 lbs; push/pull up to 70 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and may be exposed to weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in this environment can be loud.
