As a Registered Nurse at the Wyoming Girls’ School, a therapeutic and educational facility for the treatment of court-ordered delinquent girls ages 12-21, you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic care and support to our residents. Your role will involve administering medications, providing treatments, coordinating healthcare services, and educating both residents and staff on health-related matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of our residents.

• Provides professional nursing services to teen female adolescents in a residential setting.
• Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of residents.
• Provides continuous care of residents through assessing, evaluating, and implementing processes to assure appropriate care and outcomes.
• Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Triages calls from staff and handles routine concerns and emergencies.
• Communicates with the Physician and follows through on orders as appropriate.
• Reviews lab values and consults reports.
• Provides formal assessments, documentation, and progress notes.
• Monitors all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
• Arranges for and conducts nursing clinics and classes; teaches individuals and groups in health promotion and disease prevention.

Preference given to candidates with experience working with children and young adults.

Education: Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)

Experience: 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming

Education & Experience Substitution: 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
