Euola is seeking Inpatient Nursing Assistant to Support safe, respectful onsite care for veterans in assigned inpatient units at the Sheridan VA Medical Center. The Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care support under VA clinical direction, communicate observations, follow privacy and safety standards, and help maintain dependable coverage across all tours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care support within the assigned inpatient unit and approved role.
- Follow VA clinical direction, unit procedures, safety practices, infection prevention standards, and professional conduct expectations.
- Observe patients and promptly report changes or concerns to the appropriate licensed clinical staff.
- Document or report care as required by the assigned unit and VA procedures.
- Protect patient privacy, confidentiality, and VA records.
- Participate in required training, quality improvement activities, staff meetings, and incident or complaint reporting as assigned.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and remain available for authorized scheduled tours.
- Current CPR certification from an American Heart Association vendor and current BLS certification.
- At least six months of direct patient care experience within the previous three years.
- A detailed resume documenting education, training, clinical background, and direct patient care duties.
- Ability to satisfy health, immunization, TB, blood borne pathogen, OIG, background, PIV, training, privacy, work authorization, and liability requirements.
- Availability for onsite variable day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday tours, primarily 12 hour shifts.
At least six months of direct patient care experience within the previous three years. The resume should identify dates, facility, unit, patient population, and hands on duties.
Technical Skills- Direct patient care support within assigned inpatient units.
- Observation and timely communication of patient changes to licensed staff.
- Required care reporting or documentation.
- Privacy, infection prevention, safety, and professional conduct.
Required: Current CPR certification from an American Heart Association vendor and current BLS certification.
Work ScheduleCoverage is provided 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays. Staff must be available for variable day, evening, and night tours, primarily 12 hour shifts with some 8 hour shifts, and may receive schedule changes with 24 hours notice.
